In my work as a documentary photographer I often tell stories about people whose voices are seldom heard. Listening to people that think differently confronts me with my own beliefs, my own prejudgements and my own ignorance. In my talk I illustrate how encounters with strangers can help us to better understand the complex world we live in. And they can even reinforce solidarity in our strongly divided society.
